We are a Year 1 class at Nelson Central School, Nelson, New Zealand. Most of us are 5 years old,
except for our teachers, Tracy and Sam and Mark our trainee teacher aide, who are a little older. This blog lets you know what we
have been up to and what our next learning steps will be. We love to find out what people
think about our class so please get typing and leave us a comment.

Term 2 Week 11

What an amazing term we have had and we ended it with a fantastic class outing to the Eric Carle workshop at Nelson Library. An enormous thank you to all the adults who came along, it felt like a real family day out with our walk there and back, morning tea and lunch picnics and of course some spectacular art work. Take a look at what we got up to:

We also finished off the terms art focus on printing by completing our Eric Carle Hungry Caterpillar prints and learning how to make a reflection by printing. Watch out for these pictures going up in the class next week.

On Friday we built tents and bird boxes along with many other creations. Take a look at them below along with some Mine Craft pictures we made with our Room 5 buddies.
